The CEO Institute was founded in 1992, in Melbourne Australia. The first meeting of The CEO Syndicate Program was held in June, 1992. In 1996, The CEO Institute expanded to South Australia, and to New South Wales and Queensland in 1997.
In 2000, The International Institute of Directors and Managers (IIDM) was established, creating a valuable online learning and professional development resource.
In 2007, The CEO Institute expanded to Western Australia, and the first meeting was held in Perth in May of that year. In 2015 the New Zealand office opened in Auckland and now operates in 5 major cities.
In late 2025, The CEO Institute opened its inaugural CEO syndicate in Singapore, and that became the gateway to our expansion plans across Asia.
Today, we are proud to have supported 5,726 members and alumni, and awarded 718 certifications.
