David has been involved in many infrastructure and commercial projects, including the County Court of Victoria Project (Chairman, Victorian County Court, The Liberty Group Consortium); Facilitator for Melbourne City Link; Facilitator for the Technology Park, Docklands; Probity Adviser to the Melbourne Cricket Club and Trust for the Building Contract; Due Diligence Adviser to the Vice Chancellor at The University of Melbourne on the University Systems Project.

From 1997-1998, David was appointed by the Minister of Planning and Local Government as Commissioner to inquire into the Nillumbik Shire Council.

David is trained in advanced mediation and has been retained as a Mediator in a wide range of areas as an experienced Mediator or Facilitator. He has also been retained as a business, legal and property consultant on various projects in Australia and New Zealand.

David was formerly Chair of the Council, Ormond College (The University of Melbourne), Chairman, Australian Health Service Alliance Limited, Chairman, Human Variome Project International Limited (an international consortium that is documenting and sharing information on all genetic variation affecting human disease), Independent Adviser to Davis Langdon Australia Limited (now AECOM), Deputy Chair of Generation Victoria, Chairman of Sirius Telecommunications Limited, Chairman of Thirteenth Beach Golf Links Limited and a director of Study Group International Ltd, Study Group Australia, Ruyton Girls School and Taylors Institute of Advanced Studies.

David is a lawyer and was Managing Partner, Price Brent, Solicitors from 1989 to 1994.
