The CEO Summit 2025 focuses on the theme, ‘Leaders Creating Leaders’. Our presenters, all highly experienced business leaders, will share their insights into the advantages of creating and training leaders within their organisations. We will look at ways this is done, what is effective, and what doesn’t work.
Research will show, improvements in culture, staff morale, and productivity, when growing leadership throughout the organisation are significant. Leadership theory, and practice, is clear that when something is second nature to you, you should be teaching someone else. This frees your time to develop further skills, and, gives others the chance to learn to operate at a higher level.
By attending the CEO Summit 2025, you will have the opportunity to consider the advantages of leadership development, no matter the size of your business. It will show you that a stronger culture develops when you can promote from within, thus retaining the values by which you operate. Meet our Speakers

David Williamson
David is the Executive General Manager of Perth-based maintenance and construction company, Warrikal, one of Australia’s largest Indigenous businesses operating in the mining services sector.
Originally from Melbourne, David holds a Master of Marketing and 20 years of executive leadership experience across the resource and industrial service sectors. David maintains an uncompromising approach to safety, a meticulous approach to operational and financial discipline, and a client centric mantra.

Mayowa Babalola
Professor Mayowa Babalola is an Organisational Psychologist and holds the Stan Perron Chair in Business Ethics at the University of Western Australia. He has taught and collaborated with industry leaders across Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
His research focuses on leadership, behavioural ethics, and work-family dynamics, exploring how leaders can foster a more ethical, productive, and healthy workforce. Recently, he has been leading the exploration of the intersection of leadership and AI in the workplace.

Kristen Pyrz-Brown
After a decade of living and working overseas in Senior Management roles for the likes of the UN Volunteers, APT and Qatar Airways, Kristen launched her own Executive and Leadership Coaching practice in Albany in 2021. Prior to moving internationally, Kristen worked for the Western Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and understands firsthand the triumphs and challenges of doing business in Western Australia.
Kristen holds a B.Comm in Sports Admin and Commercial Law, a Graduate Certificate in Migration Law, Masters in Business Leadership (MBL), Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Coaching. Her passion lies in leadership development and in making leaders and organisations the best possible places they can be for their employees.
As well as being a mother of one, Kristen is a keen sportsperson and loves exploring the magnificent natural surroundings of the Great Southern with her son. She also enjoys being heavily involved in community organisations and is the current licensee for TEDxKinjarling as well as the CEO of the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Chad Gates
Chad Gates is the Managing Director of Pronto Software, a leading Australian developer of business management software and analytics solutions.
Chad has several decades of experience in the IT and Retail sectors with a deep understanding of the business and technology drivers of Australian organisations, across a wide variety of industries. He leverages his experience in marketing, product development and customer engagement to provide a fresh perspective on critical business issues – including how to drive innovation and leverage new technology to increase revenue and growth.

Samuel McSkimming
Mr McSkimming was appointed CEO of Pilbara Ports in May 2023 and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the transport industry. He has extensive experience in leading all aspects of multi-user bulk infrastructure, including in operations, marketing, commercial negotiation, and corporate affairs.
Prior to joining Pilbara Ports, Mr McSkimming was in an executive general management role in bulk export railroads at Aurizon, Australia’s largest rail freight operator. During his time at Aurizon, he worked in a range of customer growth focused and commercial roles which enabled Mr McSkimming to work on several large-scale projects, continue to develop his knowledge in the industry, and be a crucial part in developing high performing teams.
Mr McSkimming has a background in competition law and regulatory economics and has studied at Harvard Business School and the University of New South Wales, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Hons). He believes every high-performing organisation has a strong focus on people including building a culture of engagement, openness, diversity, equity, inclusion and trust. Mr McSkimming is committed to listening to feedback, understanding employee’s perspectives and working together with everyone in an organisation to make the overall team successful.
