Sally Carbon is one of WA’s leading strategists through the business G11 she founded in 2012. At G11, her purpose is to build strategic capability, educating leaders via a distinctive executable strategic framework, and coaching them to be disciplined with strategy and strategic planning. The G11 team has grown to the extent it now offers all form of planning, leadership coaching, culture environment strengthening and structured growth in teams and individuals.

Sally’s upbringing has been in high performance business and sport. She was formed in the furnace of international sport, having represented Australia at two Olympic Games and two World Cups. She was a member of the Hockeyroos, the most successful sporting team in the world, winning golds at both the Olympics and World Cups. In business she has advised political business leaders and been executive directors of many major projects.

At the age of 22, Sally was first place on a government board and has continued to hone her Non-Executive Director skills, as though she has been learning a second language for 30 years. She is adamant that being a non-executive is the polar opposite of an executive - both performances she takes extremely seriously. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors for six years. Sally is the Deputy Chair for the large not-for-profit St John WA - the second biggest St John business in the world.

Sally is against the theory that the ‘cream always rises to the top’, rather believing that talent is made not born - in particular, diverse talent. She is well-planned, takes responsibility for her own happiness and enjoys bumping heads with others who love learning.

Sally mentors a small handful of sports people each year as they progress into the next chapter of their lives. She is married, has three six-foot-plus children, and has published nine books over the last 15 years.
