Can you briefly describe your business and your role within the company?
GlobeWest is a prominent supplier of premium furniture and homeware products. As Head of Product, I lead a team responsible for category management, product development, QC, and procurement. My role involves optimizing our product range to ensure it aligns with consumer trends and market demands while collaborating closely with the design, marketing, and sales teams to drive profitable growth.
How long have you been a member of The CEO Institute, and what initially led you to join?
I've been a member of The CEO Institute for 2 years. I was drawn to join by the opportunity to engage with other senior leaders who offer a wealth of experience across various industries. This network has been invaluable for exploring new approaches to business challenges and sharing knowledge.
What industry is your business in, and what are some of the key challenges unique to your sector?
GlobeWest operates within the furniture and homeware industry, which is shaped by shifting consumer trends, design innovation, and logistics challenges due to global sourcing. Maintaining a consistent brand identity across diverse products, ensuring quality at scale, and adapting to rapid market changes are ongoing challenges.
How has your experience with The CEO Institute contributed to overcoming these challenges?
The CEO Institute provided a forum for discussing these challenges in-depth with peers who face similar pressures.
Can you share a particular moment or insight from your membership that made a significant difference in your business?
I have found that broadening my business acumen and strengthening my leadership competencies through this Syndicate experience and exposure has given me greater insight, awareness and confidence to contribute to robust and challenging discussions across all business areas in my Executive Leadership Team meetings.
Why would you recommend The CEO Institute to other business leaders seeking growth and peer support?
I would recommend The CEO Institute because it creates a unique, non-competitive environment where leaders can learn from each other, exchange practical solutions, and gain perspectives that are difficult to find elsewhere. The focus on growth, continuous improvement, and building resilient leadership skills has had a lasting impact on my approach and would benefit any leader aiming to stay adaptive and growth focused.
