Description:
As a CEO, you're navigating complex and evolving obligations: the Positive Duty to eliminate discrimination, sexual harassment and victimisation, psychosocial hazard requirements under WHS legislation across Australia (including Victoria's regulations effective 1 December 2025), and the fundamental duty to provide a workplace that is safe and without risk to health.
But here's the challenge: policies and procedures alone won't create the culture change required to meet these obligations. You need your people—at every level—to have the capability and confidence to recognise disrespectful behaviour when they see it and the practical skills to intervene safely and effectively.
This is where most organisations fall short. People see concerning behaviour but don't act because they:
- Don't know what to do
- Fear making things worse
- Assume someone else will handle it
- Don't know how to navigate organsiational power imbalances
✓ Meet your legal obligations - Demonstrate you're taking positive, proactive steps to eliminate harm and create psychological safety (essential for Positive Duty and psychosocial hazard compliance)
✓ Create genuine culture change - Move beyond awareness training to build practical skills that people can and will use
✓ Reduce risk - When more people intervene early, issues are addressed before they escalate into formal complaints, investigations, or legal claims
✓ Improve performance - Psychologically safe, respectful workplaces are higher performing workplaces. When people feel safe to speak up, innovation increases and turnover decreases
✓ Build leadership capability - Equip your leaders to model the behaviour you want to see and create the conditions for others to speak up/call in
✓ Expert-led, evidence-based delivery - All programmes facilitated by qualified lawyers with deep expertise in workplace investigations, gender equity, trauma-informed practice and psychological safety. We understand both the legal framework and the human dynamics of workplace respect.
The result? A workplace where respect isn't just a value on the wall—it's actively practised through the everyday actions of your people. Where issues are addressed early and constructively. Where your people have the skills and confidence to be active upstanders, not silent bystanders.
This isn't just good practice—it's what the law now requires, and it's what your people deserve.
