Denzil has substantial CEO and Board experience, gained over 30 years in a wide range of business and government settings, specialising in turn-around situations.
Denzil has been CEO of a variety of organisations - from start-ups, including the Australian subsidiary of a division of the Lockheed Martin Corporation, to one of Australia's largest superannuation funds. He was the inaugural Commissioner of State Revenue in Victoria.
Denzil's experience as a Company Director includes 16 years with a major regional bank (Deputy Chairman and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for 6 years). He also chaired The Centre for Molecular Biology and Medicine for a number of years.
Denzil stepped down as Executive Chairman of an oil and gas exploration company following a successful trade sale he negotiated with a listed Canadian company as an alternative to an IPO in Australia where there is not the same appreciation of the value of the country's onshore energy assets.
Denzil is the author of The Living Leadership Handbook - 37 Indispensable Lessons for Mastering Leadership, has written numerous articles on leadership and management and speaks and blogs on those subjects.
Denzil was awarded an Australia Day Medal in 1990 for services to tourism and aviation.
