Hannah Doney is an experienced governance professional with a strong background in marketing and strategic leadership across a range of sectors in New Zealand and internationally.
Her governance roles span agriculture, sport, conservation, and professional services, with a particular focus on innovation, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement. Hannah brings a unique blend of commercial acumen and people-centric leadership to the boardroom, underpinned by her entrepreneurial experience and deep understanding of customer experience and marketing strategy.
She is passionate about building high-performing teams, supporting climate change governance, and advancing AI and digital capability in organisations. Hannah is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and currently serves in leadership roles across several boards, including as Chair of the Canterbury Branch of the IoD and Deputy Chair of Harness Racing New Zealand.
In her executive career, Hannah has held senior roles in marketing and business development within the legal, retail, and infrastructure sectors, and most recently as Managing Partner of executive recruitment firm Decipher Group.
Outside of her professional life, Hannah enjoys walking her dogs, socialising, and spending time with her teenage daughter. She is also a proud dual citizen of New Zealand and the UK, having made Christchurch her home since 2007.
