Karen is also Deputy Chair of the Institute of Directors NZ. Her governance portfolio spans Crown entities, private enterprise, and professional bodies, reflecting her commitment to purpose-driven leadership and long-term impact.
Karen co-founded emissions broker NZCX Limited and later ChanceryGreen, a boutique environmental law firm recognised for advising on high-profile infrastructure and energy projects. She has held legal, advisory and mediation roles in complex regulatory environments and continues to mentor directors and CEOs throughout Australasia. A Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Life Member of Risk NZ, Karen is recognised in global legal rankings and has received multiple awards for her leadership in environmental and climate change law.
