We will be bringing together some of the country’s most recognised business leaders including Miles Hurrell, celebrated sports icon former All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick, and senior figures including Police Commissioner Richard Chambers.

Meet our Speakers

MC Guyon Espiner
Guyon Espiner has been a journalist in print, television and radio for nearly 30 years, including 14 years covering politics from the press gallery in Wellington.
After working with both TVNZ and TV3 he moved to radio in 2014 to present RNZ’s Morning Report for five years.
Espiner has produced three major podcasts, The Ninth Floor, The Service and Red Line and two recent TV documentaries focusing on alcohol and drug policy: Proof and Wasted, both of which screened on TVNZ.
In 2024 he launched 30 with Guyon Espiner, an in depth interview show which runs as a TV show and podcast.
He currently works as a presenter and investigative journalist for RNZ and is the author of a new book: The Drinking Game.

Vittoria Shortt
Vittoria Shortt has been Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ASB Bank since February 2018, leading a team of more than 6,500 people. She is committed to accelerating progress for all New Zealanders, focusing on the social, environmental, and financial wellbeing of customers and communities, while building on ASB’s 178-year history of resilience and sustainability.
With over 20 years’ banking experience, Vittoria joined ASB’s parent company, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, in 2002, after beginning her career in corporate finance and M&A with Deloitte and Carter Holt Harvey. She holds a Bachelor of Management Studies in Accounting and Finance from Waikato University, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, and an active member of Global Women NZ and Chief Executive Women Australia, advocating for diversity, inclusion, and mentoring women.

Sean Fitzpatrick
Sean Fitzpatrick is regarded as one of the greatest rugby players of all time. Renowned for his durability and dominance at hooker, he achieved a world-record 63 consecutive test appearances for New Zealand, captaining the All Blacks until his retirement in 1997. His career included eight National Provincial Championships, a World Cup win, and recognition as one of New Zealand’s top 10 players in history.
Following rugby, Sean became a respected broadcaster, covering every World Cup since 1999, and authored Winning Matters. He now leads a sport-to-business leadership company, sharing principles of resilience and performance with executives. Sean is Chairman of the Laureus World Sports Academy, serves on the boards of Harlequins and Scarlets, and was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit in 1997.

Miles Hurrell
Miles was appointed Chief Executive in 2018, responsible for leading the organisation’s strategy, financial performance, and engagement with farmer owners, employees, customers, and shareholders. Under his leadership, the Co-operative has entered a new growth phase centred on New Zealand’s pasture-based milk, dairy innovation, science, and sustainability.
Previously, Miles was Chief Operating Officer, Farm Source, overseeing farmer services, milk sourcing, and 70 retail stores. He also served as Group Co-operative Affairs Director and General Manager for the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and Eastern Europe, delivering strong regional growth. Earlier roles included General Manager of Global Sourcing. Miles has completed executive programmes at INSEAD, London Business School, Kellogg’s NorthWestern University, and IMD Switzerland.

Commissioner Richard Chambers
Richard Chambers became Commissioner of New Zealand Police in November 2024. Since joining Police in 1996, he has held diverse leadership roles including District Commander, Assistant Commissioner for Investigations and Serious Crime, and national controller for major operations like Operation Convoy and Cyclone Gabrielle.
He also served with INTERPOL in France, focusing on global crime strategy. Richard is committed to staff wellbeing, community engagement, and operational excellence. He holds an Executive Masters in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce.

Nadine Tereora
Nadine Tereora became Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Automobile Association (AA) in February 2022. Established in 1903, the AA is one of New Zealand’s largest membership organisations, providing services to 1.1 million personal Members and roadside support for another 1 million vehicles through business partnerships. Beyond membership, the AA advocates for road users, champions safety, and offers mobility, insurance, home and financial services.
Nadine brings extensive leadership experience from the insurance industry, having served as COO of Partners Life, CEO of Fidelity Life, and CEO of Asteron Life. Known as a warm, authentic leader, she fosters an inclusive culture where employees thrive and deliver outstanding service, ensuring the AA maintains its special place with New Zealanders.
