Description:
Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney provides a warm, welcoming home-away-from-home for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving lifesaving treatment at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Many families travel long distances and face the emotional and financial strain of leaving behind their support networks and jobs. Our House becomes their anchor during the most challenging moments of their lives.
In 2025, we supported thousands of families through our 60 room House, Hospitality Carts at Nepean and Campbelltown Hospitals, over 72,000 nourishing meals provided, respite through our Day Pass Program, and education for more than 2,000 children in our on-site Learning Centre. While McDonald’s is our Founding Mission Partner, more than 85% of our operations rely on corporate and community support.
Demand for our services continues to surge. With our Westmead House operating at full capacity, over 400 families are turned away each year. To meet this urgent need, a new 10 room House inside the hospital is opening in 2026, supporting around 3,000 families annually, especially those needing short term, urgent accommodation steps from their child’s bedside.
Our mission is simple: keep families close, so parents can focus on their child’s recovery and children can draw strength from being together.
Special Offer
Corporate volunteering is a powerful team building experience that brings colleagues together in a meaningful, hands on way. Our programs strengthen teamwork, connection and morale while giving staff the chance to make a real and immediate difference for families with seriously ill or injured children.
You can explore our programs here: https://rmhcgws.org.au/get-involved/group-volunteering/
For members of The CEO Institute, we’re pleased to offer an exclusive opportunity: book one group volunteering program by 30 June 2026 and receive a second program complimentary to be redeemed any time before 31 December 2026.
Meals are essential for nourishment, and for families facing the unimaginable, they become even more vital. A simple meal eases financial pressure, lightens the mental load, and helps keep children strong as they continue their fight. It also gives parents the energy they need to stay focused through long hospital days filled with overwhelming appointments. When your team helps prepare meals, they're giving families strength, stability, and one less worry. Your team will leave with a shared sense of achievement and impact.
If your organisation is considering multiple sessions or would like a tailored experience, we’d be delighted to create a bespoke team building program designed around your goals and group size.
Offer valid until 30 June 2026
