Dr Charles Phua is Executive Chairman of Solaris Management Advisors & Associates (SMAA), a global strategy and innovation advisory firm advising boards and senior executives across Asia, Europe, and Australia. A recognised trisector strategy leader, he integrates government, corporate, and nonprofit perspectives to guide organisations through transformation in strategy, digital, AI, ESG, and governance.
Ranked among the top 100 professor-author grade management consultants globally by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, Dr Phua is a Fellow of 13 international professional bodies and a certified board director with INSEAD and the Singapore Institute of Directors. He brings 25 years of strategy experience and over a decade of board service, contributing to national-level transformation projects, enterprise digital strategy, and CEO advisory work across multiple sectors.
In parallel with his advisory portfolio, Dr Phua teaches in executive education programmes at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), where he has trained more than 1,400 senior leaders globally in leadership, digital, data, AI, and strategy. He is author of six strategy books across corporate, public policy, and geopolitical domains, with upcoming works exploring ESG strategy, AI transformation, and board leadership.
