Bernard was recently Managing Director of Alvarium Australia. Established in London in 2009, Alvarium Investments was a multi-family office providing investment advisory, direct investment and alternative investments to individuals, family offices, foundations and institutions. In 2023 Alvarium Investments merged with Tiedemann to form AlTi Tiedemann Global, and subsequently listed on the NASDAQ.

 

Prior to joining Alvarium, Bernard led a $17bn corporate banking division of Australia’s largest bank, working with many of Australia’s most successful corporates and private families across all property asset classes and a broad range of operating businesses. Prior to his time in banking he was CEO of a major fully integrated Australian food business. Bernard was also non-executive Chairman for one of Australia’s largest residential land developers. He has lived and worked in Australia, USA and UK, beginning his career in New Zealand with Colliers Jardine having graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate. He also holds an MBA with honours from the Williams School of Business at Xavier University, Ohio, USA. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
