Julien has had a diverse and varied background in Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management and Marketing. He developed and expanded his own business from scratch into a highly diversified group, one of which is now part of an international group.
Julien is currently Chair of a major aged care group (VMCH) with some 3,500 employees in Victoria and acts as Trade Attaché for Enterprise Ireland Victoria (the trade and industry arm of the Irish Government). He is active on a number of Boards and Finance Councils. He is a past member and Chair of Syndicate 6 for a period of 13 years.
Julien was made a member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2013 Australia Day Honours for “significant service to the community through leadership roles within health and governance services”. In 2020, his service was further recognised with a prestigious AO (Officer of the Order) medal, celebrating his contributions to community health in the aged care sector, and to higher education.
